How credits work

Redpill uses credits so you always have the best AI available without surprise bills. Here's exactly how they work.

What is a credit?

A credit is the unit Redpill uses to measure AI usage. Every plan includes a monthly bundle of credits.

How they're spent

Each message spends credits based on the AI used: fast models cost almost nothing, the most powerful ones (Claude, Opus, GPT-5) cost a bit more.

They renew every month

Your credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Whatever you don't use doesn't roll over — you start fresh each month.

No surprises

You can never spend more than your plan's credits. When they run out, access pauses until the next cycle (or you can add more).

Roughly, what costs what

A quick question

A few credits — handled by a fast model, practically free.

Code, analysis or a long answer

A bit more — routed to a powerful AI like GPT-5 or Claude.

Generating an image

About 100 credits per image.

What if I run out?

No problem: you can buy an extra credit pack to keep going this month, or upgrade to a bigger plan — both right from the chat.
